Founded in 1998 - Professional Arts Pharmacy began our community relationship by solving medication problems through pharmacy compounding. As we became the go-to resource for mediation problem solving, we grew into specialty medicine. We have become the pharmacy that can provide big-box services, such as shipping into all 50 states and incorporating technology efficiencies but with an independent pharmacy touch.

URAC Specialty Pharmacy Accreditation
As the healthcare system transitions to value-based payment models, pharmacists and pharmacies are becoming increasingly vital members of the patient management team.
The role of specialty pharmacies, which serve patients with complex, chronic diseases, is even more critical to patient outcomes.
URAC’s Specialty Pharmacy Accreditation helps specialty pharmacies position themselves and demonstrate their value in delivering these specialized clinical services. Many payers and manufacturers recognize the URAC Specialty Pharmacy Accreditation as a key differentiator and independent validation of quality – often including this accreditation as a requirement to participate in their network.
URAC Mail-Service Pharmacy Accreditation
The fast-growing distribution channel for pharmacy benefit management drove the need for accreditation standards to support mail service pharmacies with a commitment to quality improvement, accountability, consumer protection and patient care.
URAC’s Mail Service Pharmacy Accreditation standards cover core organizational quality, customer service, communications and disclosure, drug utilization management, pharmacy operations, and a process for mail service outcomes measurement and quality improvement.
PCAB Accreditation
Pharmacy Compounding Accreditation Board
As the demand for compounded medication grew, the pharmacy profession recognized the need for a set of national standards for compounding pharmacies to test their policies and processes against. In 2007, eight of the nations leading pharmacy organizations joined together to create the Pharmacy Compounding Accreditation Board (PCAB); a voluntary accreditation designation exclusively for the pharmacy compounding industry.
PCAB Accreditation in combination with the pharmacy’s commitment to continuous compliance significantly reduces the risk associated with compounding medications and demonstrates a commitment to meeting the highest industry standards for quality and safety.
In 2014 PCAB Accreditation became a service of Accreditation Commission for Health Care (ACHC). The alignment of the organizations ensures that safety and compliance needs are met in the most efficient and effective manner.
